Alice doesn't live here any more?

Tim Burton, the film master of weird, has done it again.  He has turned Mr. Carroll's tale of Alice and an opium smoking catapillar into a bizarre 3D tale.  Alice is older, smart, and plain.  Johnny Depp steals every scene in which he appears.  He is the only American in the movie.  The 3D effect moves the story along.  The costumes are off the hook.  But it is grim and yet enchanting at the same time.  This film version of Alice's journey is NOT for kids under 12.
