All they needed was black face...

Well, our school year at Funn High got off to a HOT start with racial stereotypes for all.  The opening assembly was pulled together by the kids with some help from the Director of Student Activities.  Our new principal gave the best opening cheer ever.  But it was all down hill from there.  The student officers did skits on a variety of topics - dress code, tardiness.  The girl who did the piece on dress code had on short-shorts and a jacket,  So much for modeling appropriate dress.  In one of the skits a Latino guy showed us his tiddy whites which is a BIG no no in the dress code.  A black guy wearing a basketball t-shirt came into class late.  This same kid was only late to my class TWICE last school year.

So Funn takes ONE step forward with  Latina principal and TWO giant steps backward with a 21st century minstrel show.
